Jorda FrantzisCardi B had other things on her mind this morning other than her several Grammy nominations.  The rapper was in court today in Queens on strip club assault charges after missing her return date Monday because she was shooting a music video in Miami Beach.

According to the criminal complaint, which was made public upon her appearance, Cardi B was at Angels Gentlemen’s Club August 15 being served by a woman named Sarah Wattley.  She told police Cardi B “threw a bucket-shaped object over the bar at her.”

Wattley also said Cardi B and her entourage threw alcoholic beverages and glass bottles at her, causing lacerations to the leg, “substantial pain as well as annoyance and alarm.”

Cardi B, who sported multi-colored hair in court, was released on her own recognizance and is due back in court January 31.

According to the complaint, a member of Cardi B’s entourage, Tawana Jackson-Morel, admitted to police, “I smacked a drink on [Wattley].”

The judge ordered Cardi B to have no contact with Sarah Wattley or Rachel Wattley, another bartender involved in the melee.

Cardi B is due to perform night at New York’s Madison Square Garden as part of the annual Jingle Ball concert.
