BTS video for “Fake Love” has biggest 24-hour YouTube debut of 2018

Kevin Mazur/Getty Images via ABCK-pop boy band BTS performed their new song “Fake Love” on the Billboard Music Awards last night to deafening cheers from fans in the crowd. Now, the video for the song is breaking records on YouTube.

According to YouTube, the video racked up 35.9 million views in one day, making it the biggest 24-hour video debut of 2018. The video dropped on May 18 and received a whopping 4.8 million views in just its first hour.

The video also set a new record for most likes on YouTube in a single day, garnering 3.9 million likes on May 18.

“Fake Love” is now the third biggest 24-hour music video debut of all time, behind Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do,” which notched 43.2 million views in its first day, and PSY’s “Gentleman,” which received 36 million views.
