BRYANTAfter a huge breakout year that saw him score two hit singles, release his gold-selling debut album and open for Camila Cabello and Justin Timberlake, Bazzi‘s ready for some downtime: He’s heading to Australia this Christmas to visit his girlfriend. The “Mine” singer says he can’t wait to shake off the “winter vibe” and head to a place where it’s summer.
“Apparently there’s this big day where everyone goes out on boats in the water…in Sydney,” he tells ABC Radio. “I don’t know, but yeah, I’m really excited to experience some new culture, [it] should be cool.”
As for what’s on tap for Bazzi in 2019, apparently, lots of music. Late last month, he tweeted “this new music gonna shake the f***ing world,” and as he explained to ABC Radio, he’s not just talking about the follow-up to his debut album Cosmic.
“Beyond the next album, I’m working on so much music,” he says. “It’s like so much stuff that I know I’m gonna give to people, it’s tough to call it just an album. It feels like I’m working on, like, four right now!”
Meanwhile, Bazzi’s duet with Camila, “Beautiful,” is still moving up the chart. He says it’s been fun for him and Camila to share in the song’s success.
He says, “Yeah, I mean, like, every weird little accomplishment that comes along with it, we’re always just like, ‘What the hell!?'”
