On Monday, Ariana posted video on her Instagram Story — captured by People magazine — that showed the couple getting ready the night of the Oscars. Mac is shown standing alongside Ariana’s mom and grandmother as the sleeve of his tuxedo jacket is fixed. At the same time, he’s watching an Elton John interview and referring to the music legend’s colorful and flamboyant outfit, he jokes, “I should’ve worn that for the night.”
Mac’s dog Myron is also pictured in the video. There was no caption — Ariana simply added a heart over Mac’s arm. According to People, the night the photo was taken — March 4, 2017 — the couple went to Madonna‘s Oscars afterparty together.
Ariana and Mac split up in May of this year. In June, Ariana got engaged to Pete Davidson; they broke up a little over a week ago.
Rumor has it that Ariana’s sadness over Mac’s death on September 7 was a factor in her decision to break things off with Davidson.
