Photo by Noam Galai/Getty Images for New York Magazine(NOTE LANGUAGE) Could it be true? A movie with rap superstar Nicki Minaj and comedy powerhouse Tina Fey sounds like a dream come true.
But, that’s exactly what Minaj teased her fans with in an Instagram post Tuesday night, where she promoted her upcoming Saturday Night Live episode with Fey as the host.
“SNL Season Finale w/ the one & only Tina f*n Fey,” she wrote. “Gotta be f*n kidding me. OMG. She and I are shooting our movie after Saturday’s show airs.”
She goes on to say the title of the movie is Get Ya Life Ugly, but no other information was given.
According to Fey’s IMDB page, she is currently filming a movie called Wine Country with Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph. She also recently received a Tony nomination for her work on her Broadway musical Mean Girls.
Minaj is no stranger to the big screen, though. She’s demonstrated her acting abilities in The Other Woman and The Barbershop.
Even if Minaj is just playing a joke on us ahead of SNL’s episode, it’s still fun to imagine how entertaining that movie would be. What we do know for sure is that Nicki’s new album, Queen, arrives June 15.
