Ahead of tonight’s BBMAs, Kendrick, Bruno, Sheeran, Imagine Dragons & more are winners

The Billboard Music Awards get underway tonight at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT live from Las Vegas, but many winners have already been announced.

Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars, each of whom had 15 nominations going into the telecast, are currently multiple winners.  Imagine Dragons, The Chainsmokers, Chris Stapleton, Justin Bieber and Luis Fonsi are also winners.

Kendrick has won six BBMAs already, including Top Billboard 200 Album for DAMN., Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Male Artist, Top Rap Album, Top Streaming Songs Artist and Top Streaming Song (Audio) for “HUMBLE.”

Bruno Mars has five wins: Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Male Artist, Top R&B Tour, Top R&B Album for 24K Magic and Top R&B Song for “That’s What I Like.”

Imagine Dragons and Ed Sheeran have four wins each.  Imagine Dragons won Top Rock Artist, Top Rock Album for Evolve and Top Rock Song for “Believer.”  Ed Sheeran won Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist and Top Radio Song for “Shape of You.”

Ed Sheeran will appear via satellite; Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar are not expected to appear on tonight’s show.

Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber have three wins for Top Latin Song, Top Streaming Song (Video) and Top Selling Song all for “Despacito.”

Country star Chris Stapleton has won three: Top Country Male Artist and Top Country Album for From A Room Vol. 1.

The Chainsmokers have won Top Dance/Electronic Album for Memories: Do Not Open and Top Dance/Electronic Song for “Something Just Like This.”

U2 has won Top Touring Artist and Top Rock Tour.

The BBMAs, hosted by Kelly Clarkson, will feature performances by Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Maren Morris, Ariana Grande, Kesha and many more.
